Lamentations 3:25-29

The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.
It is good for people to bear the yoke
while they are young.
Let them sit alone in silence,
for the LORD has laid it on them.
Let them bury their faces in the dust—
there may yet be hope.

    I found it interesting that it talks so much about silence and yet that is where i find that i have a hard time

    This is a great reminder that our “hope is in him.” Nothing else can we confidently hope in but the Lord, because he never changes and his promises are true.

    “Our hope is in him.” And apparently, that hope comes out of humility, because this passage says “Let them bury their faces in dust – there may yet be hope.” Fascinating that out of an action of humble admission, there comes a strengthening hope. Is that not what we are in need of?
